About me
I am a French native freelance translator working from English and from Spanish to French. I have been working as a translator for three years now and what I love most about this job is that I never stop learning.Qualifications
After I graduated in 1998, I started a four-year carrier studying translation at ESTRI (Ecole supérieure de traduction et de relations internationales - Grande Ecole in Translation and International Relations), Lyon, France.
I then took a one-year specialization in technical translation, with a special training in subtitling.
Experience
During my studies, I made several linguistic and training periods: I first spent eight months in England as an au-pair, then my first training period lasted 6 months and took place in Spain at RENAULT, where I translated for the Real Estate Department. Afterwards, I made two other training periods at two different subtitling companies in Paris (LVT and Titra Film). All those experiences introduced me to the translation world.
I then made a final three-month training period at Version Internationale (Lyon, France), where I was employed as an in-house translator for 18 months. Version Internationale is a translation company specializing in IT translation, which is why I also specialize in this field.
In early 2005, I decided I had learnt enough in order to settle as a freelance translator. I now work with clients all over the world and I am entirely satisfied with my work (so are my clients!).
